The PhytoTank Macroalgae Reactor (Quick Connect Version) is a patented, easy-to-use solution for controlling nutrients in your reef tank using chaeto macroalgae.
By growing chaeto in a clean, contained reactor, you can naturally reduce nitrate and phosphate levels—supporting a healthier, more stable reef.

How It Works
Install a small pump in your sump (recommended ≤ 360 GPH) to circulate water through the reactor and back into your system. As chaeto grows inside the PhytoTank, it consumes excess nutrients.
When the reactor fills with macroalgae, remove approximately 75% of the chaeto to export the absorbed nitrate and phosphate.
